Berne is the Bundesstadt (de Facto Captial) of Switzerland and is the fifth highly populated city of this beautiful country. Berne has a lot of interesting sightseeing venues for you. You can start with the Bear Pits and Park which bear a historical asociation to the name of the city. Berchtold V von Zähringen, who founded Berne, killed a bear at that place due to which the city was so named.
