In the museum there is a fairly impressive number of objects from the communist era. It is one of the few places where they can be viewed, since all of them have been removed from the streets, where they originally were. Thus, they can find statues, street posters, busts and other objects propaganda. The museum's political position is quite clear: for decades, the country-at that time-Czechoslovakia was occupied by a foreign power, the Soviet Union, which imposed its political alibi and freedoms of the Czechs. Therefore, there is a strong emphasis on the Soviet invasion of 1968, which ended with the "Prague Spring". It drew together the period in which the government of Alexander Dubcek, during which there was a more open policy on the issue of press freedom. The attempt ended with the invasion by the Soviet Union and the replacement of government by one more akin to the official line of the Russian Communist Party, as well as the implementation of Dubcek and other leaders. In the section devoted to documentaries, may see some short films devoted to that part of history.
