The chain of Spanish accommodation Axel Hotels announced that it will build a hotel complex dedicated to gays and lesbians in Berlin. Thus Germany will have its first gay hotel.

The new building will be located in the neighborhood of Schneberg, a beautiful residential area in the west of the city. Axel chain, owned by John P. Juliá Blanch, will invest 13 million euros of net capital Spanish, (about $ 19 million) in the venture.

The new member of the chain Axel will be added to those already owns in Barcelona and Buenos Aires and have been very successful. It is estimated that it will be opened in the spring of 2009, as specified representatives of the hotel chain.

While this project is innovative, the German capital account with the first nursing home gays from across Europe, recently opened. In addition, it will not only be the first hotel of its kind in the country, but throughout Central Europe.
