Rosenburg Castle: witness the Austrian history
Visiting Austria, one of the places we should not miss for its exquisite architectural beauty and especially by the rich history that retain their walls, is the Rosenburg Castle which is located very near the town of Horn.
This magnificent building is an old style of cultural attractions which receives more foreign visitors. Although its origin dating from the twelfth century, only now you can see the foundations of the main tower of what was the original castle.
The present building is the product of a series of renovations and extensions of Caspar Rogendorf him perform in the fifteenth century and who also provided him with an attractive Gothic style.
This castle, to be located in an area that has been the passage of countless cultures, and also where the wars occupied an important place in its time served as a refuge for all inhabitants of the region before the invasion of the Hungarians.

Under the Protestant Sebastian Grabner between the years 1593 to 1597 much of the gothic castle was demolished. In its place was built what is today the castle in the Renaissance style with 13 towers. In addition the castle in the year 1614 was a great tournament and 46 arcades. After receiving a master with a Catholic Cardinal von Dietrichstein in the year 1611 there was an assault by coalition troops to the Horn of evangelical palace on July 9 in 1620.
