Deeg Fort – The Pride of the Jat Military

After some adventure with wildlife for a change, I think you will want to visit another monument of historic significance, called the Deeg Fort, at the 18th century Jat capital Deeg in Rajasthan. This fort was built by Raja Badan Singh in 1725. It is located in a military strategic point and was built in 1730. You can enter the fort through its northern gate by crossing a bridge.

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary: A Bird-Watcher’s Paradise

After experiencing the historical magnificence of India at Agra, ask your travel guide to take you on a tour to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as the Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Originally the area around the Bharatpur Lake was used as duck-hunting grounds by the royal families. Duck-hunting was prohibited in the 60s. In 1982 it was declared a National Park and it acquired the status of a World Heritage Site three years later.
