Prices improper in the Alhambra… A mistake?

Those who visited the Alhambra between January 1 this year 2008 and 15 last February, may claim a refund € 2. It seems that the most visited monument in Spain has been charging the annual rise in its different types of tickets for 46 days.

It turns out that the new prices can not be applied before the revision of tariffs quit published in the Official Gazette of Andalusia (BOJ), as provided by law because it is a price public, such as bus or The taxi service. But the monument Nazari began to receive 46 days earlier.

The entry standard has gone up 20% from 10 to 12 € and 28% of retirees, 7 to 9 €, and during the period mentioned have visited the monument more than 160,000 people, which has generated extra income higher to € 300,000.

The Legal Service of the Consumers Union of Andalusia (AAU) maintains the illegality of the fee and recommends to those who decide to do so, claim the difference submitted to the Board of the Alhambra a copy of your entry and the BOJ with reference to the date Cash that should have been that price.

While the Alhambra has created an office to address complaints, the AAU advised to send the documents by registered mail with return receipt to prove that the demand has been received at their final destination. Frankly I do not think they are many people who retain their ticket, let alone those who dare to make the claim, for which the monument Granada has been made of fat profits.
